The 20th issue of The Pine Bough Magazine contains 49 pages, with 2 feature articles. Buddy Temple: An East Texas Life is a pictoral essay honoring the life of our friend and supporter, Buddy Temple. It features 21 photographs of his life from his childhood in East Texas to his days in politics and his family. The second feature article is another pictoral essay, this one featuring 53 images from the J. Shirley Daniel Photograph Collection, which showcases photographs of Diboll, Southern Pine Lumber Company, community events, and workers and townspeople from the 1940's to the 1960's.
This year's scrapbook pages include a look at the Antler's Hotel, an interesting post-World War II episode when Diboll became a port city, retrospective looks at the Joe Diamond Cafe and Diboll schools, historical images of the recently burned Ryan's Chapel Church, and an interesting look at some oddities of the forest.
