Recent Events at The History Center

November and December are busy months at The History Center!

On November 17, 75 people attended the reception celebrating Jay Brittain and the exhibit "Jay's Birds: The Photography of Jay Brittain." Friends, family, and local photography and bird enthusiasts viewed the exhibit and listened as Jay told stories from the field.

The History Center has also hosted two tours: The Young At Heart Group from Houston's Pilgrim Lutheran Church enjoyed a tour in November during their day trip to Angelina County and in December The History Center hosted the group from Leadership Lufkin.

The first week of December also brought an unusually early snowfall to Angelina County. Staff was excited to watch the snow fall, even if it didn't stick. Engine 13 provided a picturesque backdrop for the falling flakes.
