Public School Annuals Added to our Online Collections

In recent weeks we have digitized some of our public school annuals and have begun to add them to our Online Collections, accessible through our website. To date we have added annuals for the Diboll schools for the years 1944 through 1974. We’ve also added an annual from Pineland (for the year 1940) and one from Lufkin High School (for the year 1959). Covering the years of segregation, The Mirror 1956 (published by the Lufkin Negro Chamber of Commerce) features Lufkin’s black schools, and The Shiloh Reporter 1966 (published by Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church) features Diboll’s segregated black schools. These are also available through our online collections section of our website.
