Neches Journeys, Humanities Texas Exhibit Now Open

The History Center is excited to announce that the Humanities Texas sponsored exhibit "Neches Journeys: Land, River, and People" is now open. The exhibit was installed on July 13 and will remain on display at The History Center until August 21, 2009. An outgrowth of the Center's 2006 Neches River exhibit (itself an outgrowth of Richard Donovan's 2006 book Paddling the Wild Neches), the Neches Journeys exhibit was produced as a collaboration between Humanities Texas and The History Center.

Neches Journeys follows The History Center's June 1 to July 11 display of the Museum of East Texas and Texas Conservation Alliance sponsored Neches River photography contest.
