Lufkin Foundry & Machine Company Payroll Books Available Online

The History Center is excited to announce that the Lufkin Foundry & Machine Company Payroll Books are undergoing digitization and will be available online as they are finished. This is an ongoing project, but as staff scan, compile, and complete each payroll book, they will be posted to The History Center's website as pdf files. Researchers can download each file and find the names of early company employees. The books begin at the company's founding in 1902 and two volumes are now available in the Lufkin Industries section of our ONLINE COLLECTIONS. Each book has been divided into 5 separate files that are small enough to download. Book one has a name index attached to the end.

The History Center continues to digitize its collections with the goal of making more and more available online to our researchers.
