In this 21st Issue of The Pine Bough Magazine, readers can find two feature articles highlighting Angelina County's experiences in World War I and an update to the Lufkin Industries Collection. Angelina in the Great War tells the story of Angelina County during World War I - the citizens and soldiers who answered the call to serve, the bond drives and Red Cross meetings, the influenza and the casualties. In The Boys "Gone West:" Angelina County Remembers its War Dead, readers can get a glimpse at the meaning of the memorial that stands on the courthouse grounds and read about the dedication ceremony. The third feature article updates readers on the progress of the Lufkin Industries Collection after three years of work.
This issue's scrapbook pages feature a tribute to Diboll Housing Authority Director Margie Harrell, a photo and map of Boggy Slough, 2 pages of images from Lufkin's Memorial Hospital records, and 8 images from the newly acquired National Forests and Grasslands in Texas Collection, among others.
