Stanford Sr., Clayton James Collection, c. 1926-1928

Clayton James Stanford Sr. was born in Saron, Texas, on January 17, 1919, to James Riley Stanford and Ada Elizabeth Griswold. He attained seventh-grade education before going to work for Temple Manufacturing Company. By 1940 he was married to Alpha Lee Schaeffer and was drafted in World War II. He died on December 19, 1971. This collection contains an encapsulated panoramic photograph of Southern Pine Lumber Company employees, c. 1926-1928.
