McKinney, Barbara Family Collection, 1800-1970s

Barbara McKinney is the daughter of Billy Roehl McKinney and Betty Jo Hines McKinney. Billy Roehl McKinney was born in Diboll, TX to Van Buren and Oneta McKinney on January 18, 1931. Betty Jo Hines was born to B.F. and Gloyce Hines on December 24, 1927. The couple had three children, two daughters Barbara and Beverly, and one son, Benton. Billy McKinney passed away February 6, 2002. Betty McKinney passed away November 8, 2019.This collection contains papers and photographs relating to the Hines and McKinney families. Of particular note are World War II ration books, family photographs, a 150+-year-old high chair, and a front-loading shotgun musket from the early 19^th century.
