Mrs. Ruth Poland was a public school teacher in Angelina County for forty years. She was a graduate of Diboll High School and spent 29 years as an educator in the Diboll system. She was the first sponsor of the yearbook and stared the first High School newspaper in Diboll. Mrs. Poland was a mentor to many young teachers and once you became her student in the classroom, you were her student for life.
