Southern Pine Lumber Company Office

SPLCo is no longer in the furnishing business. The old building which used to house commissary, barber shop, post office, etc. has been completely rebuilt into a modern air-conditioned office. This view of the office was taken before the distinctive Temple Industry symbol had been added to the front to proclaim its identity. The Temple Star appears on several of the cars parked in front of the building and on the flag which hangs limp under the American Flag waving above the store. This photograph is from June 11, 1953
