39 Southern Pine Lumber Company Engine 20, 1963

A back-side view of Southern Pine Lumber Company's Engine 20, 1963. Engine 20 was a Baldwin 2-8-2 steam locomotive built in 1930. The Baldwin construction number was 61193. It was purchased new by Temple Lumber Company, Southern Pine's sister company before they merged in 1956, and is believed to be the last new steam locomotive purchased by a Texas lumber Company. It was moved to Katherine Sage Temple Park in Pineland, Texas in 1985 where it remains on display.
