Burke Mail Shed, 1948

Burke railroad mail shed on the tracks of the Texas & New Orleans Railroad (Southern Pacific), 1948. Original station was built c. 1881, and it is unclear when this structure replaced it. Passenger service to Burke ceased in 1955 and the station was razed shortly thereafter.
