Diboll, City of

Though founded by T.L.L. Temple in 1893, Diboll was not incorporated as a city until 1962. In the interim, Diboll was a "company town" centered around Southern Pine Lumber Company and its operations. Citizens voted to incorporate in 1962, with the first city council meeting held on July 10, 1962.
