Jackie Zimmerman is a Lufkin native and current publisher of The Lufkin Daily News, a position she’s held since 2020. Prior to working as the publisher, she spent time in the public relations department at Lufkin Industries. Founded in Lufkin in 1902 as the Lufkin Foundry and Machine Company, Lufkin Industries manufactured sawmill, railroad, and eventually, oil pumping parts and equipment.
