Mr. Epperson worked as a lumberman for many years and even held positions of leadership at the Texas Long Leaf Lumber Company in Trinity County, Texas, and The Sabine Lumber Company in Zwolle, Louisiana. In 1944, after he retired as a lumberman, Mr. Epperson took over the receivership of the shortest independent railroad operating at that time in the state of Texas, the Waco, Beaumont, Trinity, and Sabine Railway.
This collection contains letterheads from various East Texas railroad and lumber companies, some correspondence and stocks belonging to T. L. Epperson, and, notably, a ledger of accounts managed by T. L. Epperson.
