Dietz, Don Boggy Slough Hunting Photograph Collection

0.25 cubic ft

Southern Pine Lumber Company founder T.L.L. Temple purchased land that later became the Temple family’s private hunting club named Boggy Slough. The family owned and operated the hunting club and maintained the land until the late 1960s when Boggy Slough became part of Temple-Inland. Located in the Neches River corridor in Trinity County, Texas, Boggy Slough was a popular hunting destination for members and friends of the Temple family, employees of Southern Pine Lumber Company, and others who secured an invitation to the area.

This collection contains several photographs and photographic negatives pertaining to hunting trips taken by Don Dietz at the Boggy Slough Hunting Club from 1986 to 1991.
