This collection contains documents and photographs related to Vernon Burkhalter’s career working for Southern Pine Lumber Company in Diboll, Texas. Vernon Burkhalter was a longtime Southern Pine Lumber Company employee. After growing up in Diboll as the son of a local teacher, Mr. Burkhalter worked his way up through the Company ranks as Personnel Director. He was married to his wife, Betty, for 60 years.
