The Pine Bough - Vol 5, September 2000

This special issue serves as a centennial history of Texas Southeastern Railroad. More than 140 photographs (26 in color) help document TSE’s more than one hundred years of exciting operations as an enduring East Texas shortline railroad. Articles and features include an 8-page history of TSE from its origins in the 1890s as an unincorporated logging railroad through numerous operational changes during the twentieth century, employee and officers & directors listings from company payroll records, equipment reports to the Interstate Commerce Commission, compilations of freight reports to the Texas Railroad Commission, and the last days of steam operation.
