American Lumberman Photographic Collection
Contains more than 300 vintage images made by staff of the Chicago trade journal American Lumberman during visits to Diboll in 1903 and 1907. A few selected images from this collection are featured in our on-line exhibits.

Diboll Newspaper Photograph Archive
Includes more than 25,000 images dating mostly between 1947 and 1977, but also contains images prior to and since those dates. Most images were created by the Buzz Saw, News-Bulletin, and Free Press newspaper staff. The collection contains mostly black & white prints, but there are many negatives in both 35 mm and 120 roll film formats. Diboll, Lufkin, and Angelina County are well represented.

J. Shirley Daniel Photograph Collection
Includes more than 4,000 images dating from the late 1940’s through the 1950’s. Diboll community life and the vast operations of Southern Pine Lumber Company and related businesses across East Texas are well represented. Most images were made by J. Shirley Daniel (1908-1997), a Diboll business entrepreneur and photographic enthusiast. The collection consists of 4x5 inch black & white film negatives and vintage as well as modern prints made from those negatives.

Diboll Historical Society Collection
Contains approximately 4,000 images, dating between the early twentieth century and the 1990’s. The collection is mostly black & white copy negatives created during the 1980’s and 1990’s, with many vintage prints throughout. Diboll people, places, and events are well represented.
